HIFU works by targeting deep layers of the skin, encouraging new collagen production at a targeted source. The HIFU treatment works on the face as a non-invasive facelift. Meaning the majority of the treatment works on the surface of the skin. The specifically designed, medical grade machine targets the upper demis (1.5mm), lower dermis (3.00mm) and most importantly the SMAS (4.5mm) layer of the skin. The SMAS layer is the layer that sits between muscle and fat, allowing the HIFU to naturally improve the overall skin tone, pores, brightness & elasticity of the skin.

The HIFU treatment uses different head sizes depending on the area of treatment. The heads then specify how deep the treatment needs to go. The area generally targeted is the layer of skin between muscle & fat, the same layer of skin a cosmetic surgeon would pull and tighten. However due to HIFU being a non-invasive procedure, it is associated with non of the surgical risks.
